If a user does not log-in to a Yahoo Mail account within 4 months, it will immediately be deactivated. Although, when people consistently obtain unnecessary emails or junk emails to their mailbox and they keep removing it or sending it to Bulk/Spam folder, deleting your emails account might be the best idea.
The following are the procedures on how to delete your emails account:
Note: Removing your account is a one-way operation, so you’d better be 100% sure that you actually wish to do it. The moment your account has been eliminated, it can no longer be restored.
- Browse Mail.Yahoo.com and log-in to your account.
- Look for the “Help” link located on the top right of the web page.
- Select the “Account Configuration” link under the “Using My Yahoo! Mail Account” area of the main Help page.
- Beneath, you may see a section known as “Closing My Account”. Click the “How do I close my account? hyperlink.
- Do as instructed regarding how to close your account.
Note: Despite the fact that your account is going to be instantly marked as being terminated, it will in fact be deleted about 90 days later.
