Do you ever wonder why your free web mails go to spam folders of junk folders? Although you do not intend to be a spammer, when you send a webmail email from a free email provider such as a hotmail email account and the recipient is either yahoomail or gmail, these mail sites would think that the other email address coming from another mail site is a spam.

To prevent being listed as a spam, avoid underlining text in an email if it is not a link because it confuses the recipient. Also, avoid putting too much links into your email because some mail sites prohibit emails having too much links in it. Some email recipients cannot receive HTML formatted emails so it is much better to just write purely texts.

Just keep your email plain and professional and try to keep it clean as possible. Avoid having too much font colors and big fonts to your email because this resembles a spam or junk email.

The key in avoiding spam filters is to test your free web mail. The first step is to send these free web mails to different free email providers. For instance, if you use a hotmail email account as a sender and you send an email to another free email provider which ends up in the bulk folder or junk folder, then there is something wrong with the format of your email. Try to edit it or if you really want to be assured that you will not be listed as spam, try to register for those free email providers that are reliable and trustworthy.
