Web users around the world, keep receiving emails from mail sites which contain stories of inherited funds or bank accounts from “a dying rich person” telling recipients that they should claim it Recently, even those people are sending emails to various email users using the names of free email providers such as Hotmail email, Gmail, Yahoomail, etc. asking people their private details such as passwords,bank account details,address, etc.
These spammers are even using the name of government offices like the US Department of State to make people believe that these emails are true.
It is known that the attacks of such spammers are gradually increasing along with the internet users. In some situations, viruses are also dispatched with such free web mails.
The Internet users are already becoming weary of these spam emails which are commonly sent by such rackets.
It has been discovered that the main reason of such spam emails is to tempt the recipient on the offered amount of big money, and later the victims are asked for sending a particular amount of money for the payment of “transfer cost” or “shipment”. When the victim has already sent the money, the spammer will no longer send an email living.
It has been discovered that most of the spam email senders have an internet based telephone numbers and satellite phones which are mostly coming from Nigeria and other poor African nations.
Even though some internet users are now aware of these criminal acts, many of the new internet users fall for these kind of scams. The public should be informed about this especially the children and the novice internet users to prevent incidents of being the victim of these spammers.
