33% of Brits use work email in searching for a new job. 1/3 of British people have used their emails account to apply for another work, says Proofpoint, a company that specializes email security.
A research by the email security company discovered that UK office personnel are happy to use their hotmail email accounts for a number of various personal matters.
25 % people also have dumped a lover using a free web mail, while 32 % admitted that they sent saucy emails using their firm’s emails account. Two out of five Britons also admitted to use their free email providers’ account instead of face-to-face conversations to break a bad news, in both a personal and professional issues. Rather than saying it personally, people would prefer sending an email to their recipients because they believe that they can express their feelings better and in a good way.
Brits definitely take a few liberties with their free web email but organizations should anticipate this, because they ask employees to work extended hours at their desks. However, these companies have to make sure employees do not get them into problems if email abuses arise. Employees might very quickly land an employer in legal difficulties by sending or opening the wrong email.
